October is Youth Substance Use and Substance Misuse Prevention Month, a great opportunity to remind ourselves that prevention starts with connection. Parents and caregivers play an important role in helping young people make healthy choices by talking openly about alcohol, vaping, prescription medications, and other substances.

The Champlain Valley Education Association (CVEA) and Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) school board are pleased to announce the ratification of the Education Support Professionals collective bargaining agreement for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years.
Jumping back into the school year schedule can feel like a rude awakening! But, quality sleep is an important part of supporting physical and mental health, learning and attention, mood and behavior, and overall well-being.
