• Student Drop Off and Dismissal

    School Starts at 7:45am

    Arrival/ Drop off locations and time

    • All students arriving early 7:30-7:45, should plan to remain in the cafeteria for quiet games or reading. 

    • Students in Kindergarten and first grade drop off at the Cafeteria door (7:45-8:00).

    • Students in Second through fifth grade drop off at the front door (7:47-8:00). ** After the buses have departed!

    • Students in Sixth through Eighth grade drop off at the flagpole door (7:45-8:00). 

    Students should be in their classrooms by 8:00 am.  Arriving after 8:00, please drop your student off at the front door for a tardy slip. 

    Dismissal Location and Time

    Dismissal Times (Regular Days- M, T, TH, F)

    • Part 2 Dismiss at 2:38

    • 2:40-Grades 5-8

    • 2:43- Grades K-2 and 3-4  

    • 2:45 Buses depart CCS

    • Students being picked up by vehicles will be dismissed as soon as buses leave the front drive. 

    Early Dismissal Times (Wednesdays) 

    • Part 2 at 1:38

    • 1:40 Grades 5-8

    • 1:43 Grades K-4

    • 1:45 Buses depart CCS

    • Students being picked up by vehicles will be dismissed as soon as buses leave the front drive.

     

    Wednesday Early Dismissal:

    • Students will be dismissed from school one hour earlier every Wednesday, to allow for Teacher Professional Development.

    Tardy or Early Dismissal:

    • All incidents of tardiness and early dismissal must be excused by the parent or guardian, either through a note, telephone call, or email.  Any child who is to be dismissed is to be met by the parent/guardian in the main office.

    After School Change of Plans:

    • Families are required to call the Front Desk with any change of afterschool plans. Please call by 1:30 p.m. (noon on Wednesdays) at 425-2771, so that we can make sure that your change in plans is relayed to the student.

    Absence from School:

    • When it is necessary for your child to miss school for any reason, please call the school at 425-6688 before 7:30 am to report the absence. An automated voice mail system has been established for this purpose, to leave the main office line available for incoming business calls.  The school practice is to call home in the event of an unexplained absence in order to ensure the safety of the children.
