On behalf of the entire school district, we deeply appreciate your support in passing the 2024-2025 budget! Please view this letter from Superintendent Rene Sanchez and CVSD Board Chair, Meghan Metzler.

Voted ballots are brought to a central location and co-mingled (all ballots are mixed together) before being counted by officials from each town’s Board of Civil Authority. One of the agreements in our Act 46 consolidation that was signed by the Vermont Secretary of State is that we will co-mingle the ballots before they are counted. It is therefore not possible to separate the counts by town.

At the February 20, 2024, school board meeting, the board voted to adopt the finance committee’s recommendation to move forward with the originally warned budget that they spent more than six months reviewing and evaluating.
At the meeting, CVSD Board vice chair and finance committee chair Meghan Metzler read this statement to begin the discussion.
After the meeting, Superintendent Sanchez shared this letter.
Here are some budget highlights to help our community understand important elements of the proposed budget.

On Wednesday, February 21, the district's administration and school board hosted a virtual Budget Town Hall. These slides were shared at that event.
