Jen Roth, Lead Principal and K-6 Instructional Leader
Jen Roth is the Charlotte Central School Principal and grade 5-8 Instructional Leader. She has lived most of her life in three states- Illinois, Wisconsin and Vermont. She received her BA from Trinity College of Vermont, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Saint Michael’s College. She has taught twenty two years in grades Pre-K through high school Special Education and loves staying hands-on in classrooms at CCS. Watching curious learners make new discoveries or share their understanding with others, inspires Jen. This summer, Jen began her next chapter of learning in the Vermont Leadership Institute through the Snelling Center for Government. As a mother of four children, life stays busy! She fills her time reading, playing in the garden, spending time on the lake and traveling with family and friends.

Amanda Riggleman, Assistant Principal
Prior to joining CVSD, Amanda served as an administrator and science teacher in Virginia. She received her BS in Biology & Secondary Education from Longwood University in Virginia, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University, and then returned to Longwood University for her Educational Leadership Graduate Certificate. She has taught a variety of science courses and levels throughout her career and loves engaging in hands-on activities in the classrooms. Supporting the joy and love of learning for all students and educators is a driving passion of Amanda. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family hiking, kayaking, and enjoying the outdoors.

Beth Slater, CCS Director of Special Education
Beth is the Special Education Director as well as a Special Educator at Charlotte Central School this year. She is starting her 21st year in education and 7th year in CVSD. Prior to that, she worked in Grand Isle for 14 years. Beth received her undergraduate degree from Keene State in NH. She received her master's in Special Education from the College of Saint Josephs and completed advanced graduate studies through Saint Michael’s College. She holds a Special Ed endorsement for ages K-21 and Director of Special Education and Principal endorsements. Beth lives in South Burlington with her partner and two children. When Beth is not working, she can most likely be found biking, hiking, skiing, playing pickleball, and reading.
